Who Are We?

Deb Spurlock

Deb was raised in the home of a Southern Baptist Preacher. Her father was a minster for forty-seven years. Her father and mother taught her and her siblings to step out on faith. Her parents always lead by example to follow the Lord without hesitation.  Deb met her husband Jim, whose father was a deacon at her father’s church in Napoleon, Ohio. They were married in 1975 and have two grown children and five wonderful grandchildren. After twenty years of marriage Jim was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and had to retire on disability. He is now wheelchair bound, and Deb is his caregiver.
She teaches adult Sunday school at her church and on Sunday nights they open their home to twenty plus adults for bible study.  For over a year Deb felt God was calling her to broaden her witness for Him. Deb’s long time friend Margie and she began to pray for the Lord’s leadership. As it would just so happen Deb recently was laid off from her job of fourteen years. After much prayer and even more faith she and Margie feel that the Lord has guided them to begin an Inspirational Speaking ministry.

Margie Selhorst

Margie was the daughter of a farmer with a loving mother and three siblings and came from a Catholic background. Margie is the mother of three adult children and the grandmother of two beautiful grandchildren with one on the way.

All of her life she remembered wanting to be a nurse and although she got a late start, Margie graduated nursing school at the age of 50. She now has a job that she loves as a Hospice nurse which she knows is a calling from God. Yet she has always felt there to be more to come in her life in serving the Lord. The last year has been a time of many trials but Margie knows they have happened for her good and God’s glory.

Margie’s friend, of more than 30 years, Debbie, one day told her “I believe the Lord has a ministry for us.” And to make a long story short, in June of 2010, the pastor of Margie’s little church stated “We need to get out of our pews and begin to do something for God.”

That’s all it took, she knew it was time to call Debbie and begin to sing!
