A Night with Style -- Victory Chapel

March 12, 2011

A Night with Style was a huge success in Liberty Center, Ohio at Victory Chapel!

The evening started with a wonderful meal cooked by the pastor and other men of the church.

Upon entering the sanctuary the ladies had a chance to be fashions designers as they designed dresses out of toilet paper!

Margie sang a song that she "fashioned" just for the night and sang it in her BIRTHDAY SUIT!!

This song was the perfect opening for the "Crazy Fashion" show! Where modals showed off their funny outfits to the audience.  Outfits included...

 'knit' sweater

A 'moo-moo' with 'clogs'

'turtle neck' and 'holy' jeans with 'tennis shoes'

This is just a highlight of the funny fashions!

After the laughter Deb switched gears and brought a great message to the ladies.  She shared with them scripture and a bible lesson of what you should "clothe" yourself in.

The night was great and I think that everyone enjoyed themselves!

Margie Singing Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone)

Wednesday, September 15, 2010

St. John's Lutheran Church, Montpelier Ohio

September 12th 2010

We did our F.R.O.G. (Fully Rely On God) Program this day.  Judy Bidwell was our guest frog. :) There was approximately fifty people in attendance.

Up until this point Debbie and Margie still had their own ideas of how this ministry should be.  But in a little back room of the church Debbie, Margie and Judy prayed and finally totally surrendered the  ministry to God.  Through that total surrender we fully relied on God, and His blessings were poured out! The day was AMAZING!!!

...and now we will wait upon the Lord and see where we go next!!!

Our Goal

Deb and Margie are Inspirational Speakers sharing God's love with people in the hopes of helping them on their spiritual road though life. Their goal is to see the lost come to Christ's forgiving and Saving grace and helping inspire continued spiritual growth to new and mature Christians alike!

The Lord has blessed Deb with the gift of teaching and Margie with the ability sing and they are combining their talents to be used for God’s Glory. Together as a team they hope to spread God’s message of Grace and unequaled love to as many people as they can.

Their prayer is that groups like yours will allow them to come and share what God has done in them and through them!

Who Are We?

Deb Spurlock

Deb was raised in the home of a Southern Baptist Preacher. Her father was a minster for forty-seven years. Her father and mother taught her and her siblings to step out on faith. Her parents always lead by example to follow the Lord without hesitation.  Deb met her husband Jim, whose father was a deacon at her father’s church in Napoleon, Ohio. They were married in 1975 and have two grown children and five wonderful grandchildren. After twenty years of marriage Jim was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and had to retire on disability. He is now wheelchair bound, and Deb is his caregiver.
She teaches adult Sunday school at her church and on Sunday nights they open their home to twenty plus adults for bible study.  For over a year Deb felt God was calling her to broaden her witness for Him. Deb’s long time friend Margie and she began to pray for the Lord’s leadership. As it would just so happen Deb recently was laid off from her job of fourteen years. After much prayer and even more faith she and Margie feel that the Lord has guided them to begin an Inspirational Speaking ministry.

Margie Selhorst

Margie was the daughter of a farmer with a loving mother and three siblings and came from a Catholic background. Margie is the mother of three adult children and the grandmother of two beautiful grandchildren with one on the way.

All of her life she remembered wanting to be a nurse and although she got a late start, Margie graduated nursing school at the age of 50. She now has a job that she loves as a Hospice nurse which she knows is a calling from God. Yet she has always felt there to be more to come in her life in serving the Lord. The last year has been a time of many trials but Margie knows they have happened for her good and God’s glory.

Margie’s friend, of more than 30 years, Debbie, one day told her “I believe the Lord has a ministry for us.” And to make a long story short, in June of 2010, the pastor of Margie’s little church stated “We need to get out of our pews and begin to do something for God.”

That’s all it took, she knew it was time to call Debbie and begin to sing!
